Sermorelin, for sleep and recovery
A nightly peptide injection that prompts your pituitary to release your own growth hormone in its natural rhythm — personalized at your visit.
No charge unless Chris prescribes.
How it works
What sermorelin is, in plain terms
Sermorelin is a synthetic fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone — the signal your hypothalamus already sends to your pituitary. Rather than putting growth hormone into your body, it asks your own pituitary to release its own, which is why it is dosed at night, when that release naturally peaks. Your body's normal feedback loops stay in charge of how much is produced.
- Works with your own signalIt prompts your pituitary rather than replacing growth hormone from outside.
- Dosed at nightTimed to your natural overnight release, which is also why sleep quality is the effect people notice first.
- Supports recoveryGrowth hormone is involved in tissue repair, lean mass and how you bounce back from training.
- Feedback stays intactBecause your pituitary is still in the loop, release stays within your body's own limits.
Who tends to choose it
Adults often ask about sermorelin for sleep quality, recovery from training, and body composition as they get older. It is a slow therapy — most people are evaluating it over months, not days.
Sermorelin is not a treatment for growth hormone deficiency at DonoMed, not an anabolic steroid, and not approved for athletic performance or anti-aging. Individual results vary.

What to expect
Slow, and cumulative
Sermorelin is not a same-week therapy. Your provider sets a nightly cadence and reviews how you're doing over time.
Getting started: After your intake, your provider confirms sermorelin is appropriate for you — including a review of any cancer history — and sets your protocol and price before any charge.
Your routine: A small subcutaneous injection before bed, five or more nights a week depending on your protocol, with supplies included.
Over time: Any changes in sleep, recovery or body composition develop gradually and depend heavily on your training, diet and sleep habits. Individual response varies, some people notice no change, and there is no guarantee of any particular result.
Important safety information
What to know before starting
This is a summary, not a substitute for the guidance your provider and pharmacy will give you. Read all materials that come with your medication and ask your provider about anything you don't understand.
⚠ Safety & who should not take it
Not FDA-approved: Compounded sermorelin is prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy for an individual patient. It is not FDA-approved for safety and effectiveness, and use for healthy aging, sleep, recovery or body composition is off-label.
Do not use if you have an active malignancy, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Growth hormone signaling can promote cell growth, so any current or recent cancer must be discussed with your provider before starting.
Tell your provider if you have diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, thyroid disease, untreated sleep apnea, a history of cancer, or are taking corticosteroids, thyroid medication, or any other prescription.
Possible side effects may include injection-site redness, swelling or itching, flushing, headache, dizziness, nausea, joint aching, fluid retention, or changes in blood sugar. Tell your provider about any swelling in the hands or feet, persistent joint pain, or new numbness or tingling.
Seek care for signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing) or any severe or unusual symptoms. Report side effects to your provider and to the FDA at fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088.
Questions
Sermorelin FAQ
How much does sermorelin cost?
Sermorelin is $199/mo, with supplies included and no membership or insurance required. Your provider confirms your protocol and price at your visit, always before any charge.
Is this the same as HGH?
No. Human growth hormone is the hormone itself, injected from outside. Sermorelin is a signal that asks your own pituitary to release growth hormone, so your body's feedback loops stay in control of how much.
When do I inject it?
At night, before bed, on the schedule your provider sets. That timing matches your body's natural overnight growth hormone release.
How long until I notice anything?
There is no typical timeline, and we can’t tell you what you will notice or when. Any changes develop gradually over months and depend heavily on your training, diet and sleep. Individual response varies, and some people notice no change at all.
Who shouldn't take it?
Anyone with an active malignancy, and anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Your provider will also want to know about any cancer history, diabetes, thyroid disease or untreated sleep apnea before prescribing. Sermorelin can also interact with steroids and thyroid medication, so bring your full medication list to your visit.
What if I want to stop?
You can stop at any time — there's no membership and nothing to cancel beyond your next refill. Because sermorelin works through your own pituitary rather than replacing a hormone, stopping does not cause a withdrawal syndrome. Message your provider first so they can talk through timing and whether to taper, and so your chart reflects it.
Who reviews my care?
The same licensed provider guides your protocol each time, so your plan builds on what's working for you rather than starting over with someone new.
