⚠ Safety & who should talk to a provider first
Not FDA-approved: Compounded semaglutide is prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies and is not FDA-approved for safety and effectiveness.
Thyroid tumors: In animal studies, GLP-1 medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors; it is not known whether they do in people. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 syndrome.
Tell your provider: if you have a history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease, kidney problems, diabetic retinopathy, or are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea, doses may need adjusting to avoid low blood sugar.
Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, and injection-site reactions — most often when a dose steps up, usually easing as your body adjusts.
Seek care: for severe stomach pain that won’t pass (possible pancreatitis or gallbladder disease), symptoms of an allergic reaction, or vision changes.

It contains semaglutide, but it is prepared for an individual patient by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy rather than made by the brand manufacturer, and because doses, concentrations, and devices differ it is not interchangeable with a brand product.
